Undergraduate students from the School of the Built Environment are taking part in their own internal Enginuity Competition as part of their modules Enterprise Management in Construction and Development (BSc Construction Project Management) and Financial Appraisal and Commercial Management (BSc Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management).
There are 10 teams competing over 8 rounds, or two simulated years, between September and November 2021.

The story, period by period
|PERIOD 7: "'Lets Get Hammered' strike back in style"|
There is a line from a famous Billy Ocean song that states 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going', and this was played out to perfection in period 7 as "Lets Get Hammered" recovered from a blip in the previous round to surge back to the top of the table after posting the best results in the quarter, impressive 10% growth that lifted them to 1,387 pts. They also hold a healthy 40 point lead from their nearest challengers, "Project X", whose 6% growth moved them up one place to 2nd as previous leaders "Pristine Construction Ltd" slipped back to 3rd.
In a period of mixed results, the teams who suffered declines will need to look more carefully at their previous decisions, utlising all the tools they have available to analyse their data, and they will hope to come back stronger in period 8, the last one of the Early Years, before the competition for work intensifies in the Later Years. So period 8 is crucial to create a stable foundation with what lies ahead.
