Football fans worldwide have been looking towards the men's FIFA 2026 World Cup being played at the moment across North America, but the eyes of the Enginuity world has been well and truly on the titanic battle between two Stantec North American teams, the "Spreadsheet Contractors" (Stantec, United States) and "Spodsy Quebec" (Stantec, Canada), with just 17 points between them going into the final round. However, ultimately it was a case of "Veni, vidi, vici" ('I Came, I Saw, I Conquered') as the "Spreadsheet Contractors" (Stantec, United States) deservedly became the Enginuity 2026 Champions with a finishing score of 3,249 pts and in the end a decisive margin of victory of 155 points, having led the final during every round, and this despite being in competition against a high class field. The team can now retire from Enginuity as great Champions, and Stantec have their second victory in 3 years.

Commiserations go to the valiant "Spodsy Quebec" (Stantec, Canada), who had been in second place for much of the final, but they could not quite close the gap on the Champions, and had to settle for the Runners Up spot this year. "The Unbillables" (Jacobs, India) moved up one place to finish 3rd, with "Decision Makers for 'OneWorld'" (Jacobs, India / Qatar / UAE) dropping back to 4th. All the way down the final table the teams should be proud of their performance, finishing in the top 12 of another large international field of starters, a superb effort, and they would all be a sound long term investment if it was the real world.

The journey has certainly been a long one for the finalists, involving three and half simulated years of management through the early and later years, both in the UK and globally. The global nature of the challenge opened up numerous strategies that could have been adopted, and the teams will look back at their own, and whether they would have done things differently if they could start all over again. In the end there can only be one winner, but they have all demonstrated that they have developed exceptional management skills, combined with effective team dynamics, both essential drivers to success.
