PERIOD 6:  "'Euro Gulf Engineering' take control"

After the impressive growth figures posted in period 5, not unexpectedly period 6 proved to be a much tougher quarter. Having won lots of new work in period 5, for many teams their order books were high going into period 6. This meant they could not win as much work in period 6, due to capital base restrictions, and they then progressed more work than they were able to win, resulting in a reduction in forward workload and margin KPIs.

As many teams struggled to grow in period 6, there were exceptions, and none more so than "Business Minds", whose 8% improvement was the best in the round, and enabled them to surge 7 places up the table to 3rd, and just 3 points behind previous leaders "Nexus Projects", who slipped back to second. The new leaders are "Euro Gulf Engineering" after 5% growth moved them into pole position and onto 1,401 pts, and they have opened up a 65 point gap to the chasing pack.
